Welcome to sn4gu!

Hello everyone!

Wow. I'm not even sure what to say. This is the first official post of this new forum, and I just wanted to give a shout out to all the people joining up. I'm hoping you'll have a ton and a half of fun here.

This forum was started as an adult spin-off of the Official CW Forums. However, you do not have to have been a CW board member to join up and join in here. Feel free to invite your friends, and spread the word.

Everyone is welcome, but please take heed of this warning:
If you are under 18 years of age (or under legal age in your country of residence), then you are not considered an adult and therefore cannot participate in this board. SN4GU cannot accept responsibility for minors disingenuously participating in the discussions at SN4GU.

I guess I may as well lay down a few other ground rules.
1) Leave the hate at home! We don't want any derogatory comments directed at anyone, and we don't want any bashing of members or their opinions. (This includes arguments over Wincest. If you don't like it, don't read it, or at least discuss it calmly and rationally. On the same token, please mark your threads clearly as containing Wincest. It's only fair.)
2) When I say this is an adult forum, I mean it. Feel free to discuss sex, sexuality, or anything else your little fandomer brains can come up with. Of course, the exceptions to this are things that involve children (wee!cest included, sorry, don't want to go hurting the kiddies), and any pornographic images. Feel free to link to NC-17 art or fic, but do not post it here directly.
3) Swear all you want. If they can say bitch on the CW, we can say fuck here. XD
4) If you have any complaints about threads, members, etc or you'd like to make a suggestion, email the mods at sn.for.gu@gmail.com

I think that's just about it. We're here to have fun, so make sure that everyone has equal opportunity to do so!

Perhaps there could be an "edit post" button for users to fix their own posts though? I was just going to haggle that google advert within my post and realized I couldn't edit my old one. Gah!

I only really drop f-bombs when I'm really hacked off about something. But being unable to say "bitchface" when referring to Sam's Looks of Doom? Oh man, harshness. That and even "wtf" was censored. It sort of broke me a little when I saw that!

I know! You can't say bitch or ass even though they say it on the show all the time! When I was first on there you couldn't even say things like "assume" because of the first three letters! Seriously! WTF???

Admittedly, they have fixed that, but I still have to bite my tongue so often it is all bitten and bloody!

Haha, if I actually see anybody doing something I consider inappropriate, I'm not a wuss, I'll point it out. Thus far, you have nothing to worry about. We're all adults here (mostly), so the only things I'm really worried about are arguments between members. You saw the so-called rules. Pretty lenient. Grown ups know how to take care of themselves, I figure. No need to lead everyone around by the hand. Smile As long as people don't go calling each other names, jumping down each other's throats and making jerks of themselves, I'm not all that worried. And hopefully everyone will be able to take things with a grain of salt. If everyone keeps an open mind and doesn't take stuff too seriously, I don't see many problems arising.

Well not that I'm a foul mouthed bitch, but it's about friggin' time. I'm an old fart at 48 yrs old, and I was scolded on the CW board for my language. I felt like I was 10 yrs old again.

And yeah, I'm not all that foul-mouthed either, but sometimes the situation just calls for it, huh? Glad you could join us!

I can't tell you how to make an animated avatar, but I can tell you what was going on. I pasted the first four or five pages of the thread we started last night titled "Sam and Dean Gay?" The mods didn't like the Wincest references, etc and deleted it. Unfortunately I didn't get the last two pages of the conversation (which were essentially much of the same, and defending ourselves to the people going "OMG WTF"). But I put it up here in case anybody wants to continue the discussion.

Man, I can't believe I missed all that. What a hoot.

It's funny though, cause there is a music vid somewhere with the song "Shot" that I think is just so great. The words to the song and the clips are put together so well, it's one of my favs...so anyway I show it to my husband, and he starts laughing hysterically. I ask what is so funny, and he says "oh my god, this video makes them seem so gay." I never saw it that way.

It really is a good vid, if you haven't seen it I'll see if I can find the link.

Hello Kitty! Oops, I just realized how that sounds (and I have to admit, I'm laughing quietly to myself to the point of not being able to breathe)! Maybe I'll just say Hi Kitty from now on!

As soon as I find out about the avatars, I'll let you know. I'm googling in between posting.

It was pretty funny. We enjoyed ourselves, definitely. And if not for that thread and its subsequent demise, we wouldn't have come up with sn4gu! Goodness all around!

You should definitely post the link to the vid in the FanVids category so we can easily find it again! It'll be like a mini archive of wonderful. I'm actually going to put up a list of the ones I have bookmarked in just a minute. Smile

Also, Linda? I've noticed that your quote tags aren't working. I checked and it's because you've disabled "BBCode" in the options section at the bottom of the reply screen. If you do that, it won't allow the tags you're trying to use. Smile

Good morning all (it's 8:17 a.m. here in New Jersey),

We were having fun last night, but in the midst of it all my husband decided he wanted...ahem....you know what.

Needless to say, I will never be able to look at my living room carpet the same way again! And we never turned out the lights, so I'm sure my neighbor got an eyeful when she went out to smoke a cigarette on her back porch! Yikes! Shocked

New Vid

OK - I posted a link to the vid in the Fan Vid section. Hope you all take a look, the person that made it does a great job.

Anyway, what is the appropriate Index to make announcements like that?

You can start a thread in General Discussion or just post it and let people discover the new stuff through the pretty orange icons. That's how I know where to look -- everything turns orange for me. Smile What about you guys? Psychadelic colours spicing up your screen?
