I live in Georgia with my family and 1 dog. Lots of wildlife here so we have to be careful! I love to read, learn, watch Horror and Adventure movies and listen to Classic Rock!!!!!!!

Ah!  Georgia, eh?  Did ya grow up there?  If so, perhaps I'm not the only board member with a country accent now!  (I'm from Kentucky.  And I love my accent, even if the whole world seems to make fun of it, thank you very much!)

Hi there, welcome!

Har!  No, my dear. You're thinking of Eastern Kentuckians.  I'm a Western Kentuckian.  We (most of us) don't twang so much.  We're more. . . lilty?  I like making up words.  Someone has to!  I'm a bit less lilty(?) than most, as I lived in Utah for a couple years when I was a kid and the accent got a bit diluted.  Wasn't that a very interesting factoid?  Yes.  Yes it was.

I think it was. That's alright. I probably have one of the weirdest accents in the world. My mom's family is from Wales, and her mom is the one who looked after me as a kid. My dad's from Nova Scotia, and I was obviously with him all the time. And then my mom and her siblings all had this Ontario-Welsh diluted thing going on, and I went to school with kids who had a sort of smalltown Canadian accent (different from Toronto, etc). So I went to kindergarten and got laughed at because I had a weird mix of Welsh-NovaScotian-Ontarian and I said certain words funny and had an odd lilt to most of the things I said. Now I've still got all of that, but I'm in a bigger down and am around people from Toronto and from other provinces who are all like o.O whenever I talk. Laughing

Actually, last summer, a bunch of Americans came up for the HP con I told you about and a bunch of them squeed and asked me to keep talking "like a Canadian" while others asked me if I was from the UK. It was really funny.
