I think we need a little place to say 'hi', don't you? So this thread will be used for new members to drop in and wave, tell everyone their name and anything else they'd like known about them. Cool?

I'll start.

My name is Sarah. I am 19 20 and finishing up my second year starting finishing up my third year at university. I study english and history. I live in Ontario, Canada and always have.
My previous/current fandom(s) include: Harry Potter where I have spent five six seven long years shipping Harry/Draco.
I read just about anything you want to throw at me in the Supernatural fandom, though if it's Wincest it's got to be really really good even Wincest that's not so great, because how else am I to find the good stuff? I always end up giving in and reading slash fic in every fandom I join, so I am guilty of being a full-fledged Wincest and J2 shipper, though I still read everything else as well (except Dean/Jo).
Anyway, you can find me on LiveJournal, or at one of the IM handles listed on my profile. Feel free to message me or add me, I do not bite unless specifically asked.  Wink

Hi Sarah!

I'm Kitty. I am English but with a total celtic (Irish/Scottish) background. I am a Manager in a company that is connected world wide and I like my job! I love Supernatural beyond all belief but recently discovered Wincest and love that too! (Well, the better written stuff - I'm a total geek for spelling and punctuation...)

I don't love narrow minded people. And hope we don't get any in here!

I love cats but that should be no surprise, given my name! I also love the sun, summer and all things spring-like.

Aha! A fellow grammar...er...stickler. I'm guessing their issues with hate phrases extends to the N-word I was about to use. Alas! *is super careful*

Yes, that's what I meant by "really really good". If I'm going to read it, it better be OC, well-written and have a good background reason, you know? None of this ff.net 12 year old gay Harlequin novel crap. Too wishy washy and cliched!

Oh wow, see the only thing I like about spring is that winter is over and summer is on its way. It always smells like MUD and the temperature fluctuations are EVIL. I'm so jealous that you're in the UK. My family is Welsh, and I'm always hearing from my cousins over in Wales/England and it drives me crazy that I've never been able to go. Next summer, maybe!

LMAO! Look, seriously with posts, I don't take any notice of spelling etc but with a Fic, it really needs to have some proper editing. I have read a fair bit of stuff recently, that has apparently, been through a Beta, but is still stuffed full of errors and I am sorry, but NO!!

I love how I can just come right out and say what I think here... right?? Question

Yes. Right.

I agree. People who advertise themselves as betas should at least have the basics down. I myself am huge for editing. And what I send back can seem a bit daunting at times I've been told, but people come back to me because I tend to improve the product. I'm not trying to brag here or anything, just saying that I'm such a stickler for things like that that I end up going nuts.

As for people writing fic, you know what bugs me the most? People who write fics that contain NO proper grammar, punctuation or CAPITAL LETTERS. It is "I" not "i". OKAY PEOPLE? *huffs*

Well right off the bat, we will get along!

Unless it is not okay for me to mention the commentary underneath sn4gu.myfastforum.org It ends with "By entering the forum, you agree that you are above 18 or..."

Could be my screen but it seems like there is something missing?

Scuttles to corner and waits to be chucked off... Crying or Very sad

Great!

Nope, you're right. *sigh* I've been trying to fix that stupid thing all night. I don't know why it reads that still. >.<

This is great!

I can stop being bugged about it and we can get along just fine!

Sorry, it is a pain in the arse for you though (and if you are having any feelings of grief about setting this forum up - you can not know the pleasure that is, being able to write the word "arse" without being censored!

You did a good thing!

No worries, I'm not regretting it! I was just frustrated with the description. But I've fixed it now and thank you very much for pointing it out to me. Smile
