How fantastic was Jensen in the finale?! Extremely! If nothing else, acting on a soap will sure teach ya to do emotional/weepy scenes! OK, for all I know, he had that down before the soap. But I do know soaps are so freakin' melodramatic, packed full of emo/weepy scenes (I guess it's why a lot of actors/actresses cut their teeth on 'em) so they can sure help an actor out with that.

He was excellent! I didn't know he'd have so many emotional scenes! I bet he was worn out after shooting that ep.! I was just very impressed. Very Happy

His acting was amazing in the season finale. And when he cries...uh, gets me everytime.

Jensen knocks the ball WAY out of the park every week. He is one of the best actors on current TV. He draws emotions from somewhere - and manages to make it so achingly real - it just amazes me.

The finale of s2 where Sammy dies and Dean has to deal with it, was an amazing job of acting. That should have been submitted for an Emmy nomination. Smile It was so good, it was disturbing for any of us who have lost a loved one. sniff! Kleenex please!! Everytime I see the eppy it grows more powerful for me Embarassed

The way Jensen handled the scene where he's talking to Sam's body...the moment he screamed "WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?" and it cut to Dean in the car? I knew EXACTLY what he was going to do. Jensen makes it so that Dean doesn't even need dialogue. Everything is there in his expressions, his inflections, and his every movement.

For the last two episodes of S2, I have watched the scenes where Sam dies, where Dean is talking to Sam's body, where Dean hugs Sam when he sees him standing in front of the mirror, where Bobby confronts him, and where Sam tells him that he'd do anything for him about a million times each. Why? Because it's a slow progression to one specific expression that makes my stomach HURT it's so amazing and appropriate.

Dean goes from terrified and devastated, to completely lost and guit-ridden, to desperate and depressed, to being utterly baffled and so very relieved and grateful to know that Sam loves him too.
And the expression? It's not even the little half-smile Dean gives Sam after being told it's Sam's turn to save him. It's the expression on Dean's face when they're told they have an army to fight and he says "Well then..." and Sam turns to look at him as the camera focuses in on Jensen's face and he smiles this huge, slow smile. It's excited, elated, HAPPY. To go from that devastation to being HAPPY all at once...and to make it WORK because we know Dean enough to know that it was Sam telling him he cared about him that that weight off his shoulders?

I have no words. It hits me in the gut every single time I see it. The first time, I was watching it with my mom, dad and brother. And all I could do was squee really loudly and yell "OH DEAN. JENSEN I LOVE YOU!" at the screen. <3 Got a few strange looks.

Oh geez! Now I have to watch it again (for the millionth time). Yesterday, I watched some vids on youtube about SN. There is the heart-breaking music in the background. Flashbacks to little Sam giving little Dean the prize out of the box of Lucky Charms, then back to Dean's agony as he holds the adult dying Sam in his arms. OMG--I nearly died myself. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I am lucky to be able to watch the show alone. My husband watches something else on his TV upstairs--the dork! But if I had anybody trying to talk to me during that show, it would be a quick and merciless death for them Twisted Evil

A few times, my husband has tried to ask a question or something during that show. I always record the show for this reason, in case there is a rude interruption Mad He has learned not to do this ever again Exclamation

I have ordered a 2008 SN calendar to hang here at my computer / work station. I've been looking at some of the posters on-line. Do you have any favorites. I want one to hang up in my work room (I'm self-employed and work at home). I think it would make my work environment a better place to be Smile

As for screaming "I love you, Jensen!" during the s2 finale -- don't worry about the strange stares Exclamation You are OK, girlfriend Smile Cool If you ever need a big sister, I will adopt you Laughing Nothing creepy though Cool

Oh fanvids. *aches*

My mother.... *takes a minute to breathe* Okay. SO I got my family hooked on SN, right? And then I went back to school. And in the MIDDLE of Nightshifter my mother calls. The CW was on commercial break. CityTV (the station I had to watch on -- cable!) was NOT. And she was all squeeing and talking about the show and I'm all "Uh huh, uh huh, yeah mom. Okay. Shut up for a minute. Show. Is. Still. On. Will call you back, bye." And I hung up.

When I called back she sounded all wounded and offended and I was like "Girl, don't go there." Haha! But she eventually came to understand that she'd committed a serious crime.

Ooooo. I should get one! No, I don't really buy posters. I'm a starving student (literally, at the moment, as I've been laid off from my summer employment...eep!) so I don't buy things to decorate my space. Alas!

*laughs* I'll keep it in mind! Wink

Yes, there are some nice posters out there for sale. Some for SN with pics of J & J, and of course on JA's website there are some good ones of him alone. I'm going to shop again today--maybe find something. Smile

Sorry about the summer layoff--that really stinks! I can relate to the "starving student"situation. In fact, I was "starving" during most of my 20's due to low salary, car payments, insurance, etc. I used to take a roll of toilet paper from my parent's house whenever I visited! If I showed up at the door, I knew they would feed me! Embarassed

So, you hooked your family on SN! I'm sure my hubby would get hooked if I let him in on it. I think "The 4400" comes on at the same time Rolling Eyes

I am usually rude to telemarketers who call during a fav TV show. I remember someone called me during the finale of "Seinfeld", and I chewed him out, but good Exclamation I said, "The final episode of Seinfeld is on TV and you're making phone calls Question What world do you live in Question (Telemarketer was speechless) I hung up on him Evil or Very Mad
