So apparently there's a kid named Ben who could possibly be Dean's son from a one-night stand. (See spoilerfix.com)

1) How likely do you think it is that Ben really is Dean's son?
2) What are your feelings concerning Dean suddenly having a son if Ben turns out to be Dean's?

Here's my thing about the whole 'Dean has a son'.

I don't think he would be Dean's son, but then again, knowing what we know, SN will lose ratings and most likely end after season three. Dean has only the year left to live so therefore, let's dangle something in his face that he may or may not have. Sure we have seen Dean around kids before and he is a natural, but knowing that he has a son, and with only one more year to live, it would kill him, and then we are back to emo!Dean.

I think having a family is one thing Dean has always wanted, I mean he sold his soul to save his brother. Can't say I'll like daddy!Dean, but then again, I like all Deans..... I think I kinda left the point of my post way back there, so with that I'm gonna go *waves*

I dunno. I think it has cuteness potential. And instead of emo!Dean, it'd probably give him more of a reason to want to stick around.
I'm not sure how these girls are going to work out, or if I'll love or hate them (let's be honest, the latter is more likely...unfortunate, I know), but I'd much rather see Dean find out he's got this kid and want to come back and check in with him or whatever than see Sam hook up with some random mercenary chick that I hate. *shrug*

Plus. Have you SEEN pictures of Jensen holding babies? *whimpers*

Really?! A kid? As I said before, I trust Supernatural. BUT I really dislike the idea. It's just too early to me. I like them being basically unattached right now. I think there's still so much (too much) to do and deal with. What the hell kind of dad could either of them be right now? Poor kid! And wouldn't the kid be in special danger because of who his dad is? And doesn't Dean have enough to deal with right now? Bah. I don't like it. But I still trust Supernatural. I think whatever they do I'll still love it, as long as they stick to the core of what makes it a great show. I'm not all ready to predict the show's doom and pooh-pooh it based on a few leaked possibilities/ideas. If nothing else, I know I LOVE watching Dean with kids (only boy kids, apparently. He didn't exactly connect with Tyler. Doesn't he like girls?), so that'll be nice to watch, anyway. *shrug*

P.S. Would someone be so kind as to give me a link to where they got this info? Or tell me where? Thanks!

P.P.S. No matter what happens, I think they are smart to leak these spoilers. It gets us all thinking and talking about the show and, if nothing else, we'll tune in to see just how it goes down. It is making me a bit anxious, though! And it had better NOT end after season three! Quit scaring and depressing me! Think positively!

See, the thing is, they haven't confirmed it. And the kid is eight. If he'd be in more danger due to who his father is, he'd have been in it by now, I think. Also, if Dean is the dad, the kid doesn't know. I'd assume Dean would do one of those "he's better off where he is"/"let's drop by and check in on him" things rather than ship him off in the Metallicar.
I don't think all this will ruin the show. I mean, ok. The regulars scare me a little. But a kid doesn't. I don't know why that is. Possibly because two new regulars = less brother time, but new kid for Dean = a brother issue.
I think with Tyler it was just that they didn't click, and he didn't have a reason to connect with her/talk with her. But I think he also gets young boys more than young girls. He was one and practically raised one, after all.

I posted something like that over on the CW.
I don't like the idea. I just can't see Dean being that irresponsible, not even at 19/20 years old.
Now I know there can always be accidents, but still... it just feels it's out of character, at least to me.
I also don't like it because I just can't see Family is everything Dean just walking away from his son, which then would dramatically change the show.
I'm thinking it will turn out that the kid isn't his, but even then I still don't like it. I mean we all kind of knew the possibility was there, it's really not necessary to show it and to be honest I'm getting kind of tired of Emo!Dean, which I'm sure this eppy will have plenty off. I miss season 1 snarky, smartass, funny Dean. Too much Emo just doesn't do it for me and I'm sick and tired of them laying his soul completely bare. It makes him less interesting IMO.
Don't get me wrong, I still love him. I wanted to know what makes him tick but by now I got the message. He has issues and I know all about them by now.

Hey guys. So the CW has officially Jumped the Shark (hereby known at JtS) for me. They've made it impossible for non-US residents to watch any of the videos on their website.

So. The means no promos, no previews, no director's cuts.

The good news? People post that shit on YouTube. So from now on, when the DC's and previews come out, I'll post them under each episode's spoiler thread.
